Julian Birkinshaw is Deputy Dean (Programmes) and Professor of Strategic and International Management at London Business School. He is also a Research Director of the Management Lab and a Senior Fellow of the Advanced Institute of Management Research. He was elected in March 2008 as Fellow of the Academy of International Business.
His latest book, “Giant Steps in Management”, co-authored with Dr. Michael Moll, represents a thought provoking selection of the 50 most important management innovations of the last 150 years and describes the impact they have on management today.
Jules Goddard is a Research Associate of the Management Lab as well as a Teaching Fellow at the Centre for Management Development at London Business School. He was formerly the Gresham Professor of Commerce at The City University, London, and is a Visiting Professor at GIBS in South Africa.
Research fellow Michael J. Mol is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at the University of Reading. His work focuses on management innovation and outsourcing and has appeared in journals like Sloan Management Review and Research Policy and various books, including “Outsourcing: Design, Process, and Performance” (coming out shortly with Cambridge University Press).
He is the co-author of “Giant Steps in Management” with professor Julian Birkinshaw.

John Stopford is Chairman of TLP International Inc. and of the Advisory Council of Helperby Therapeutics Plc. He is also Professor Emeritus of London Business School, where he was the founding Chairman of the Strategic and International Management Area, and a Visiting Professor at Nihon University (Tokyo). Professor Stopford is a board-level consultant and coach for chief executives, as well as a designer of board-level executive education programmes for many multinationals. His services have been retained by governments, including Brazil, Japan and Malaysia.

Tony Nelson has 25 years senior experience in the public sector, and has worked on the management innovation agenda as part of a leadership programme for college Principals. Tony is now developing leadership with college Deans from Iraq.
